Vice Chairman, Bill Drinkard, founded his first corporation, Mineral Research and Development Corp., while attending college.

Bill has a degree in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University. ..He is a member of the Iron and Steel Society, the American Chemical Society, the Forest Products Research Society, the American Wood Preservers' Association, and the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy, & Petroleum.

Bill is President and CEO of Drinkard Research and Development Corporation and of Drinkard Metalox Inc (DMI).

DMI was formed in 1993 and together with Drinkard Research has been involved in a range of hydrometallurgical processes for the treatment of metals including gold and nickel. Their technical team has been profitably recovering values from metal dust and other secondary materials for more than 30 years... ..Around half a million tons of metal values have been recovered using their technologies. Many of the oldest plants are still in profitable, daily operation, some more than 20 years after initially going online.

Director - Fred Gallagher

Director, Fred Gallagher, is a graduate of the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, with a degree in political science.

Fred is a former ombudsperson for former North Carolina Governor Holshouser and founder of Applied Research Group, Inc. He is also a cofounder of Drinkard Research and DMI. With Bill Drinkard they built ARGI into the fourth largest manufacturer of CCA (copper, chrome and arsenate) wood preservatives in the US.

With other partners, Hickory Grove Industries (HGI) was built, utilizing their patented inventions to produce wood preservatives from pyrometallurgical dusts from copper and gold refining.

As ARGI and then HGI, they developed and profitably operated various metal chemical processes that reduced the cost and improved the quality and performance of major inorganic wood preservative, CCA. The team developed an oxide formulation, which reduces manufacturing costs, eliminates air pollution from on-site dissolving, allowing the market to shift from drums to bulk tank trucks. This new oxide standard now dominates North America and is growing throughout the remainder of the world.

Fred is Executive Vice President of Drinkard Research and Development Corporation and of Drinkard Metalox Inc.
